Mr. Bird joined Midlands in October 2007 and serves the Company as Chief Operating Officer. He leads all aspects of the Company including strategic marketing, business growth, implementation of new business opportunities, and allocation of business resources. Mr. Bird has over twenty year of insurance experience, including international expertise. His background includes extensive work with insurance markets based in Europe, the United States and Bermuda, significant participation in Treaty Reinsurance and Programs, and direct product placement. Prior to joining Midlands, Mr. Bird was Executive Director with Arthur J. Gallagher (UK) Ltd., London where he managed Property and Casualty, Workers’ Compensation, Accident and Health business units, working in both London and overseas markets.
